Sony comes up with new phone Xperia X8

Sony Ericsson seems to leave no stones unturned to provide the best of smart phones, based on Android. Xperia X8 is the latest inclusion in this segment and it is aimed at the users in the mid range. Android phones are generally quite costly and many general users fail to access such devices. Considering this aspect in mind, the mobile
phone company has come up with the X8 Xperia model. Official announcement of the mobile phone has confirmed that it will release soon. However, the expected release is to be made within Q3 of 2010.

In terms of display, SE Xperia X8 is attractive; the logo of Sony Ericsson on top of the display and the major functioning keys at the bottom has kept the design minimal. The main focus lies on the display, which is TFT capacitive touch screen. This 3.0 inches touch screen display provides 320 x 480 pixels resolution and boasts 16 million colours. The users can select custom home screen with the very own Timescape user interface. Without any need for pressing another menu, the user can view Twitter updates, missed calls or emails. Accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate is also present in the display.

Xperia 8, which was previously named as Sony Ericsson Shakira, supports quad band GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900. The 3G network users can get HSDPA 900/ 2100 or HSDPA 850/ 900/ 1900/ 2100. With the availability of HSDPA, the users can enjoy high speed browsing, while the presence of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g seems to be like icing on the cake. V2.1 microUSB and Bluetooth v2.1 helps in the exchange of data with other compatible devices.

As far as the multimedia features as concerned, Xperia X8 by Sony Ericsson brings in 3.15 mega pixel camera
that provide resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Good music feature is ensured with the availability of the music player that is capable of playing MP3/ eAAC+/ WMA/ WAV files. On the other hand, the MP4/ H.263/ H.264/ WMV player ensures top class video playback. Accessibility to the applications like Facebook and YouTube increases the potential of entertainment.
